Orla: Oops, I thought the greasy pole competition was something else, lol. It was certainly entertaining to watch and probably one of my favorite offerings of the festival. It would be wonderful to see more booths dedicated to prawns – thanks so much for taking into consideration! See you next year hopefully!

So delighted you enjoyed the festival. A lot of effort went into it from a very hard working committee, I know!!!
The pics of the guys knocking each other into the water is known as the greasy pole competition. It’s a throw back to the old festival and is a fantastically fun event to watch. Glad you enjoyed it.
My cousin alos said to me last night she would have liked to see a bigger variety of prawns so I think we might look at that for next year too. Love the photos.Thank you for taking the time to give us a mention and looking forward to seeing you next year.
